Family Secrets Part One

Have you ever wondered why so many people have a “Family Secret”? As people start to open up to me and I too them; I’m beginning to realize that these “secrets” are not so secret after all. I believe that if we as a people would just begin to open up and trust one another; we’d realize that we have much more in common than we had ever imagined.
As I share my story with people; I find that it doesn’t matter where you are from, where you grew up, or even where you plan to go; you can be sure that someone else in the world can completely identify with you and understands your struggle, pain, or grief; because they have a secret too.
Which brings me to the question at hand; and I’d really like to hear your opinion please. The question is. If “others overcome by the words of our testimony” then why are we so reluctant to share? Is that just plain selfishness or is it fear?
I leave you with this thought of my own: “Family Secrets” actually “SECRETS” period; ARE DEADLY.

Simply an Introduction

Let me begin by formally introducing myself. My name is T. E. Best; I am the author of the soon to be best seller

“Secret Survivor (Her-Story)”

Were you aware that many cases of child abuse are unreported thereby being unpunished? When is enough going to be enough? How long will we sit idly and allow this atrocious behavior to continue? I know that incest, molestation, and rape are hard topics to discuss, but if we don’t talk about it, then victims will never tell and families will never speak out. This is real. It’s happening every day, in every country, state, city, town, and neighborhood. Chances are someone YOU know is being abused, has been abused or at minimum knows of someone who has. So, why then are we silence?

These facts bring me to the reason that I am contacting you today. I would like the opportunity to come into your school/organization to talk about the topics of sexual abuse. In my book Secret Survivor (her-story) I have unlocked some of the answers. More importantly, my purpose in life is to share my story.

You may be asking yourself, why you should choose me to speak at your school/organization. Here’s your answer. I know firsthand what it’s like to hide behind the guilt, the shame, the embarrassment, and the humiliation of being a victim of sexual abuse. I also know firsthand what it’s like to experience healing from the effects of molestation, incest, and rape. After a decade of abuse as a child and into my adolescent years, God has healed my broken heart. I now live a full and productive life. I am no longer bound by fear or depression.
